The honest answer is that we quote every job flat, by phone, for your address and your material. The useful answer is what goes into that number and what moves it. Here is the arithmetic we do before we give it.

Typical dumpster rentals in Fayetteville range from $295 to $695, with no hidden fuel or pickup fees. Where a job lands depends on the dumpster size, the type of debris, the rental period, and the location and any permit it needs. The flat rate covers delivery and pickup, disposal within the weight limit for your size and a standard 7-day rental. No deposits, no fuel surcharges — you get one clear number before delivery, and the price we quote is the price you pay.
We quote by phone rather than post a price list because the two things that decide the number — what is going in and how far the truck runs — change from job to job. A 15 yard of carpet in Hope Mills and a 10 yard of broken patio in Cameron are different jobs at the gate and on the road. Call (910) 672-8396 with the address and the material and you will have a firm number before you hang up.
The biggest cost inside any flat rate is disposal. Cumberland County's Ann Street Landfill, at 698 Ann St in Fayetteville, is the county's permitted landfill for household trash, construction and demolition debris, bulky items and inert material. Its published tipping fees: $46 a ton for municipal solid waste, $46 for construction and demolition debris, $18 for clean inert debris, $46 for dirty inert debris, $22 for clean shingles and $46 for mixed shingles. It is open Monday to Friday 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to noon, with last loads at 3:45 p.m. and 11:45 a.m. Every load must be tarped or closed in. Yard waste and land-clearing debris go to the County's Wilkes Road facility at 771 Wilkes Rd instead, at $22.50 a ton with no soil, or $11.25 for clean pallets and logs; painted or treated wood and plywood go back to Ann Street. The County notes that fees "may change once per year."
Over the county line the rates change. Hoke County's Transfer Station in Raeford lists $52.75 a ton for construction and demolition debris. Harnett County's landfills charge $54 a ton and accept Harnett County waste only. Robeson County's landfill in St. Pauls lists $35 a ton for construction and demolition debris ($40 from out of county), and Moore County's landfill in Aberdeen lists $67.35 a ton for FY2026–27. That is why we ask what is going in and where it is coming from: the cleaner and more sorted the load, the less it costs to dispose of.
Weight. Each size has a typical weight limit — about 2–3 tons on a 10 or 15, 3–4 on a 20, 4–5 on a 30 and 5–6 on a 40, depending on the material. Concrete, dirt, brick and shingles use it up fast, so we help you plan a heavy load before you fill it rather than surprise you after.
Days. The standard rental is 7 days. Need longer? Call or text and we extend it at a small daily rate. Finished early? Call and we schedule pickup as early as the next day.
Distance. Delivery location is part of every quote. From our Cool Spring Street yard, approximate road miles to the middle of each place are: Vander about 7, Hope Mills and Eastover 8, Stedman 12, Spring Lake and Wade 13, Parkton 14, Autryville 15, Falcon and Godwin 18, Linden 20, Raeford 23, Bunnlevel 24 and Cameron 33. Approximate figures, but they explain why the far runs can cost a little more.
For a small job, hauling it yourself may be cheaper. For anything bigger, the per-load charges and the trips add up:
| Option | Published charge | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Ann Street Landfill, 698 Ann St | $20 flat for a car, SUV, minivan or pickup not pulling a trailer; $46 a ton for construction debris otherwise | Load must be covered or a $10 surcharge applies; closes 4 p.m. weekdays and noon Saturday |
| City of Fayetteville Household Construction Debris pickup | $50 under 10 cu yd, $100 for 10–20 cu yd, $357 per load over 20 (FY2025–26) | Owners and renters only, booked 7 days ahead; contractor-generated debris not offered |
| City of Fayetteville bulky items | Up to 5 items free; 6 or more $100 a load up to 20 cu yd, $357 over | Paid and scheduled in advance |
| Cumberland County container sites | Homeowners only | Up to 4 cu yd a week; no construction or demolition waste, furniture or mattresses; no commercial haulers |
| Wilkes Road yard waste, 771 Wilkes Rd | $22.50 a ton, no soil; $11.25 clean pallets and logs | Yard waste, land-clearing debris and clean wood only |
A dozen pickup runs to Ann Street is $240 in gate fees before fuel, tarps and the Saturday mornings — the gate shuts at noon — which is where one roll-off usually wins.
None of these change our flat rate, but they can add to the cost of a job. A dumpster on a Fayetteville street or sidewalk needs the City's Temporary Right-of-Way Encroachment permit: the FY2025–26 fee schedule listed $75 per 30 days for construction dumpsters (it was $50 on the FY2023–24 schedule) — check the current fee — and past 30 days you apply and pay again. We found no permit or fee for a roll-off on a private driveway, and no NCDOT fee written for dumpsters. If asbestos is part of the job, Ann Street takes it by appointment only, with a $100-per-load handling fee on top of the tipping fee.
Getting it wrong costs more. Blocking a Fayetteville sidewalk without a permit is a Class 3 misdemeanor with a fine of up to $50; dumping building materials illegally in the city is $500 plus the City's removal costs; an obstruction on a state road without an NCDOT permit is a Class 1 misdemeanor. At the county landfill, a load with banned items in it is fined $100 the first time if the items are not pulled out, and every lead-acid battery improperly disposed of in North Carolina carries a civil penalty of up to $50.
The most expensive container is the heavy one that should have been two. A slab, a shingle roof and a kitchen in one 30 yard is far past its limit; clean concrete in one box and clean shingles in another can go at the County's lower inert and shingle rates, and the rest stays inside its own limit. Banned items cost money too — tires, car batteries, used oil, antifreeze, electronics and appliances do not belong in the box; the what-goes-in guide says where each goes instead. Never load above the rim: an overfilled box cannot be safely transported. And if the box is on a city street, plan the job inside the 30-day permit window.
For anything beyond a couple of pickup loads, a container you load yourself is usually the better value, because you are paying for the box rather than the hours. For a single sofa or a cleanout with nobody to lift, our junk removal crew may suit you better. Call (910) 672-8396 — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer same-day or next-day delivery throughout Fayetteville; call before noon for the best chance of same-day. We accept all major credit cards, business checks and electronic payments, and invoices can be emailed for business clients and repeat contractors.

From this guide
Typical rentals run $295 to $695, depending on size, debris type, rental period, location and any permit. We quote each job flat by phone for your address, with no hidden fuel or pickup fees.
Delivery, pickup, disposal within the weight limit for your size and a standard 7-day rental. Extra days and weight over the limit are the only additions, and both are explained before you load.
For a load or two, maybe. The County lists a $20 flat fee for a car or pickup not pulling a trailer, the load must be covered, and the gate closes at 4 p.m. weekdays and noon Saturday. Past a handful of loads, a roll-off usually costs less in money and time.
Delivery location is part of the quote, so the far runs — Raeford, Bunnlevel and Cameron are roughly 23 to 33 road miles from our yard — can cost a little more, and landfill rates differ by county. Any street permit fee is separate.
