The Town collects household trash itself, but its code puts construction debris on the property owner, and its own FAQ sends construction debris and large items to the County landfill on Ann Street. A roll-off saves the trips.

Permits, placement and who may haul in Hope Mills

Who may haul: we found no Town hauler license and no exclusive roll-off franchise; Sec. 78-14 lets commercial properties hire any commercial collector. Haulers using the County landfill need a Cumberland County health department collector's permit — we hold ours.

The 10-day rule — the rule that matters: Sec. 78-3 says all construction and demolition debris "shall be removed by the property owner within ten days from the completion of such work." Book the pickup for the week the job wraps up.

In the street: Sec. 86-4(a) bars brick, wood or any other obstruction in Town streets, sidewalks and alleys. Sec. 86-4(b) lets someone erecting a building put material on the street "with permission," but the code does not say who grants it or what it costs, and we found no dumpster permit. So we place containers on your driveway or lot. Sec. 86-5 also wants a passageway kept open on sidewalks during construction.

On your driveway: we found no Town permit for a driveway drop — it normally needs none, and our crew confirms the spot with you. Questions about the street go to Hope Mills Public Works, 910-429-3387.

Summarized from the city's published code and web pages as read in October 2026. Codes change — confirm with the department listed before you rely on it.

How it works

Booking a dumpster in Hope Mills

Booking a container here takes one phone call and about five minutes.

  1. 1

Call and tell us the job

One short conversation. We ask your location, what you are clearing, roughly how much there is, and how much room the driveway or lot gives us. No long forms, no guesswork.

  2. 2

We size it and quote it flat

You get one number covering delivery, the standard rental of up to 7 days, pickup, disposal and a stated weight allowance. If a smaller box does the job we will say so. If it is concrete, shingles or dirt, we say up front that weight decides the size.

  3. 3

    Delivered where you want it

The driver sets the container on the driveway, lot or job site exactly where you asked, with boards under it if you want them. Often same-day or next-day, depending on availability.

  4. 4

    Load at your own pace

Keep it level with the top edge and keep the banned items out — tires, car batteries, used oil, antifreeze, paint, chemicals, propane tanks, TVs and computers, and appliances such as fridges, washers and water heaters. Need a swap mid-job or an early pickup? One call or text and we are on it.

  5. 5

We haul it and dispose of it right

The load goes to a permitted facility such as Cumberland County's Ann Street Landfill, with metal, concrete, cardboard and clean green waste recycled whenever possible. You get your driveway back the way you left it.

Local answers

Dumpster rental in Hope Mills — common questions

Is Hope Mills same-day?

Often, yes — about 15 minutes from the yard. Call (910) 672-8396 early and ask.

Do I need a permit for a dumpster in Hope Mills?

Not that we found for a driveway, and that is where we put it. Town code bars obstructions in streets and sidewalks, so keep it off the street.

How long can construction debris sit after the job?

Ten days. Town code says construction and demolition debris must be removed by the property owner within ten days of the work being finished.

Will the Town take my remodel debris?

The Town's own FAQ sends construction debris and large items to the County landfill at 698 Ann Street. A container saves you the trips.

Every town we cover

We run roll-off containers out of the Cool Spring Street yard to every town below. Fayetteville and the closest towns are often same-day; the edges of the area are more often next-day. Several counties license or permit the haulers that work there, and some towns keep containers out of the street — each page says so plainly. If your town is not listed, call anyway.
